Detoxification is all about securing these imperative factors. There are several
symptoms of toxicity but the common ones are fatigue/tiredness and being
overweight. How often do you experience headaches and other such aches or pains?
Have you had several episodes of flu and cold in the recent past? Do you have
digestive problems and constipation as well? What about high blood pressure,
allergies and sensitivities and PPMS? Are you alcoholic? Do you smoke? How
frequently do you drink tea and caffeine? Do you love processed foods? Well, you
must be wondering why I am asking all such questions. That’s because all these
factors are responsible for an unhealthy colon.
So then how does detoxification help and what does it do? Our body has its own
natural process of detoxification which is carried out everyday on a regular
basis. It is a normal process by which the body eliminates all the toxins and
neutralizes it though our colon, kidneys, liver, lymph, lungs and the skin as
well. In fact, it can be said that detoxification is an automatic function of
the body which is carries out naturally.
We need to detoxify our system from time to time due to all the chemicals and
synthetic products that we are exposed to. Our environment including air, water
and the foods we eat are all unhygienic due to the pollution caused by the
industrial chemicals, pesticides, food additives, heavy metals, drug residues
and environmental hormones. Our system is mostly overburdened by the highly
processed foods, the rigorously unbalanced diet and the contaminated
environment. This leads to a dormant system which further encourages the
building up of toxins. Also, not to forget that the body’s natural cleansing
process and the oxygen cycle as well as the vital nutrients depend largely on
exercise. Exercise prevents the toxins from building up.
The fast pacing world of today is filled with prolonged mental tension, stress, anxiety and negative emotions that create internal poisons. These poisons are toxic and can cause severe damage to the body; it damages the tissues and nerves as well.
Detoxification can be achieved in various ways, but it is always safe to opt for
the natural method. You can naturally detoxify your body by giving up certain
foods and adapting certain lifestyle changes. Nutritional changes also
contribute a lot in detoxification. A fiber enriched diet and lots of water is a
must for everyone. Make this a regular practice and you would not need a detox
supplement ever. Foods containing additives, artificial chemicals and flavors
and preservatives must be avoided.
In addition to proper diet and nourishment, exercise is a must. Exercise helps
in flushing the lymphatic system and provides the body with adequate oxygen as
well.
Keep your internal system healthy and clean your colon when needed to be
healthy!!
